Ephesians 6:12

ngokuba asibambene negazi nenyama, kodwa sibambene nemibuso, namandla, nababusi bezwe balobu bumnyama, nabawomoya bobubi emkhathini.

Kwabase-Efesu 6:12, uMphostoli uPawulu wethulela amakholwa  iqiniso lempi kamoya empilweni yobuKristu: “Ngokuba asibambene nezitha zenyama negazi, kodwa sibambene nababusi ababi neziphathimandla zezwe elingabonakali, nabanamandla kulo mhlaba wobumnyama, nemimoya emibi emkhathini”

  Ngaphambi kokuxoxa ngezingubo zempi amaKristu okumelwe azigqoke empini nezikhali zawo zempi, uPawulu ugcizelela ukuthi impi ingokomoya, hhayi ngokwenyama.  Asilwi nenyama negazi kusho ukuthi asibhekene nesitha senyama kodwa esomoya.

Impi yobuKristu iqukethe isu elingokomoya elwiwa ngezikhali ezingaphezu kwemvelo ngokumelene nesitha esingabonakali. Ukuphikiswa kungokoqobo kodwa akubonakali ngeso lenyama. Ngaphansi kobuso, impi engabonakali engokomoya iyashuba. Le mpi asiyilwi ngezikhali ezibambekayo njengezibhamu nezinhlamvu, noma ngokuzivikela komzimba njengokukhahlelwa nezibhakela, kodwa ngokugqoka zonke izikhali zikaNkulunkulu nsuku zonke, sithandaze njalo, sime siqinile eZwini likaNkulunkulu, futhi sihlale siqaphile

Elokugcina, qinani eNkosini nasemandleni ayo amakhulu. ngokuba asibambene negazi nenyama, kodwa sibambene nemibuso, namandla, nababusi bezwe balobu bumnyama, nabawomoya bobubi emkhathini.

Qondani, nilinde. Isitha senu, uSathane, siyahamba njengebhubesi elibhodlayo sifuna esingamgwinya; melanani naye niqinile ekukholweni, nazi ukuthi zona lezo zinhlupheko zehlela abazalwane benu abasezweni.

IBhayibheli libiza udeveli, noma uSathane, “umbusi waleli zwe” ( Johane 12:31 ), “umbusi wombuso wezulu, umoya manje osebenza kwabangalaleliyo” ( Efesu 2:2 ), “unkulunkulu walelizwe” ( 2 Korinte 4:4 ), ‘nommangaleli’ wamakholwa ( IsAmbulo 12:10 ). Lesi yisitha sethu sangempela.

UPawulu uthi, ekulweni kwethu nalesi sitha, kufanele siqaphele amaqhinga aso (2 Korinte 2:11). Futhi kwabase-Efesu 6:11–12, uPawulu ukhuluma ngezici ezintathu eziyinhloko zamandla kaSathane omoya. Okokuqala, zinamandla. Banegunya lokubusa emhlabeni. Okwesibili, babi. Lezi zitha ezingokomoya ezimbi zisebenzisa amandla azo ukuze zibhubhise. Bahlotshaniswa nobumnyama hhayi ukukhanya, ububi futhi hhayi okuhle. Futhi, okwesithathu, bahlakaniphile. Bayakwazi ukuhlela nokuhlela amasu. Banekhono ekukhohliseni kangangokuthi ngezinye izikhathi bafika beguqulwe izingelosi zokukhanya (2 Korinte 11:14) noma izimpisi ezigqoke isikhumba sezimvu (Mathewu 7:15).

Pho thina, ebuthakathakeni bethu bobuntu, singalindela kanjani ukumelana nezitha ezinamandla nezinobuqili kangaka? Amandla aqinile ngeke ayinqobe impi. Ngokwesintu, ukunqoba akunakwenzeka. Emzabalazweni wethu nodeveli namaqili akhe, uPawulu uthi kufanele “siqine eNkosini nasemandleni ayo amakhulu” ( Efesu 6:10 ). Kungumsebenzi wethu ukuma eceleni sivumele uNkulunkulu asilwele impi, futhi yilapho kuphela esiqinisekile ukuthi sizoyinqoba.

UNkulunkulu kuphela ongasiqinisa, asivikele, futhi asikhulule emandleni, ebubini, nasebuqilini bukadeveli ( 2 Thimothewu 4:17–18 ). Isitha sethu singaba namandla, kodwa uNkulunkulu unamandla (1 Johane 4:4). UNkulunkulu wenza kutholakale kithi amandla afanayo amakhulu avusa uJesu Kristu kwabafileyo futhi wambeka ngakwesokunene sikaNkulunkulu ezulwini (Kwabase-Efesu 1:19–20). Izitha zethu zinqotshwa ngokunqoba kukaKristu esiphambanweni (KwabaseKolose 2:15).

Lapho uDavide elwa nomdondoshiya ongumFilisti, waqaphela ukuthi impi yakhe yayingeyona eyokulwa nenyama negazi ekugcineni. UGoliyathi wamklolodela uDavide futhi wathuka uNkulunkulu wakhe, ethi: “Ngiyinja yini ukuba uze kimi uphethe izinduku? . . . Woza lapha . . . ( 1 Samuweli 17:43-44 ) Kodwa uDavide, ethembele emandleni kaJehova nasemandleni akhe amakhulu, waphendula: “Uza kimi nenkemba nomkhonto nomkhonto, kepha mina ngiza kuwe egameni likaJehova Sebawoti, uNkulunkulu wamabutho akwa-Israyeli, omeyisile.”— 1 Samuweli 17:45;

“Ngokuba impi ingekaJehova!” kwasho uDavide ( 1 Samuweli 17:47 ), futhi nathi kufanele njengoba silwa impi engokomoya. Ukulwa kwethu kakumelanga lenyama legazi. Ukunqoba kuncike eNkosini, hhayi kithi.

Ziyini izikhulu namandla?

Inkulumo ethi ubukhosi namandla ivela izikhathi eziyisithupha eBhayibhelini, njalo kuyi-King James Version kanye nokuphuma kwayo (NKJV, MKJV). Ezinye izinguqulo zilihumusha ngezindlela ezihlukahlukene ngokuthi “ababusi neziphathimandla,” “amandla neziphathimandla,” nangokuthi “ababusi namandla.” Ezindaweni eziningi lapho le nkulumo ivela khona, umongo ikwenza kucace ukuthi ibhekisela ezinhlobonhlobo zemimoya emibi elwa nabantu bakaNkulunkulu. Ubukhosi namandla kaSathane kuvame ukubonakala lapha, abantu abasebenzisa amandla ezindaweni ezingabonakali ukuze baphikisane nakho konke kanye nawo wonke umuntu okaNkulunkulu.

Ukukhulunywa okokuqala ngababusi namandla kutholakala kwabaseRoma 8:37–39 : “Cha, kukho konke lokhu singabanqobi ngaye owasithandayo, ngokuba ngiyaqiniseka ukuthi nakufa, nakuphila, nazingelosi, namademoni, namanje, nazinkathi ezizayo, namandla, nakuphakama, nokujula, nanto enye kukho konke okudaliweyo, akukho okunye okukhona kuyo yonke indalo, akuyikuba namandla okusehlukanisa noNkulunkulu wethu othandweni lukaJesu Kristu.” Lamavesi amayelana nokunqoba uKristu akunqobile phezu kwawo wonke amandla amelene nathi. ‘Singaphezu kwabanqobi’ ngoba awekho amandla—hhayi ukuphila, ukufa, izingelosi, amademoni, akukho lutho ngempela—angasihlukanisa nothando lukaNkulunkulu. “Amandla” okubhekiselwa kuwo lapha yilawo anamandla ayisimangaliso, kungakhathaliseki ukuthi abafundisi nabaprofethi bamanga noma izinhlangano zobudemoni ezibanika amandla. Okusobala ukuthi, noma ngabe bangobani, abakwazi ukusihlukanisa nothando lukaNkulunkulu. Ukunqoba kuqinisekisiwe. Kungaba yishwa ukugxila ekuboneni amandla bese ugeja iphuzu eliyinhloko levesi, eliyisiqiniseko salokho uNkulunkulu akwenzile ukuze asisindise.

Okunye okukhulunywa ngakho ngababusi namandla ku- KwabaseKolose 1:16 , “Ngokuba kwadalwa ngayo zonke izinto ezisezulwini nasemhlabeni, ezibonakalayo nezingabonakali, kungakhathaliseki ukuthi izihlalo zobukhosi noma amandla noma ababusi noma iziphathimandla; zonke izinto zadalwa ngayo futhi zadalelwa yona.” Nansi inkulumo ecacile yokuthi uNkulunkulu unguMdali noMbusi phezu kwazo zonke iziphathimandla, kungakhathaliseki ukuthi zizithoba kuYe noma ziyamhlubuka. Kungakhathaliseki ukuthi yimaphi amandla amandla amabi anawo, awaphumanga ekulawuleni okuphelele kukaNkulunkulu wethu ophakeme, osebenzisa ngisho nababi ukufeza icebo Lakhe eliphelele nenjongo (Daniyeli 4:35; Isaya 46:10–11).

In the next chapter of Colossians, we read about Jesus’ ultimate power over all other powers: “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:15). In keeping with all things, the powers are created by Christ and therefore under His control. They are not to be feared, for they have been disarmed by the cross. The Savior, by His death, took dominion from them, and took back what they had captured. Satan and his legions had invaded the earth and drawn mankind into captivity, subjecting them to their evil reign. But Christ, by His death, subdued the invaders and recaptured those who had been vanquished. Colossians 2:14 speaks of Jesus being nailed to the cross along with the written charges against us. The record of our wrongdoing, with which Satan accuses us before God, is nailed with Christ to the cross. It is thereby destroyed, and the powers can no longer accuse us; we are innocent in the eyes of God. Hence, they are disarmed.

Ephesians 3:10–11 presents different principalities and powers—those of the heavenly realms: “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Here we see the angelic hosts being shown the wisdom and purpose of God in the plan of salvation through Christ. Angels, both holy and unholy, witness the glory of God and the preeminence of Christ above all creatures in the church, those who are saved and preserved by His power (Ephesians 1:20–21).

Ephesians 6:12 declares the warfare in which we are engaged as we battle throughout our lives “against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” So, having been saved, we must continue to struggle to do good things in light of the sure victory promised in Romans 8. It is as though we are facing an army of dark powers who have been disarmed from real power and against whom we have been promised victory. It is our job to demonstrate and depend upon the wisdom and power of God in defeating them in our lives. We can do this by trusting in God’s victory.

The final reference to principalities and powers is Titus 3:1. Here they refer to those governmental authorities whom God has placed over us for our protection and welfare. They are God’s representatives on earth, and submission to Him involves submission to His duly constituted authorities. Those who rebel against earthly authorities are “rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves” (Romans 13:2).
